Charles River Canoe & Kayak is happy to arrange catering from any local restaurant. A selection of our favorites is presented below.

You can arrange the catering yourself (so you can confer directly with the caterer regarding menu selections), or we can make the arrangements for a fee of 15% of the food cost (minimum fee $50; food cost includes 5% meal tax). All three locations even have picnic areas with a water view, as shown in the photo from our Newton location above.

Baker's Best (Newton)
Custom menus, delicious foods skillfully prepared and beautifully presented, detailed event planning, and impeccable service. Everything from finger foods and brownies to full meals. For events at our Natick or Newton locations.

Blue Ribbon Barbeque (West Newton & Arlington)
Whether a quick lunch or a full-blown after-paddling dinner, Blue Ribbon offers a wide variety of barbeque options. They're a ten-minute drive from our Newton location, so small groups can order and pick up without the catering minimums or delivery fees.

Bruegger's Bagel Bakery (Newton/Auburndale, Brighton, Framingham, etc.)
New England farmhouse-inspired bakery-café offering bagels and fresh sandwiches. You can order individual boxed meals or large platters, so small and large groups can be accommodated equally well. For events at any of our locations.

Fresh City (Boston, Newton, etc.)
Wholesome alternatives to fast foods, made with fresh ingredients and prepared fresh-to-order. For events at any of our locations.

O'Naturals (Somerville)
Soups, sandwiches, salads, and desserts made from natural ingredients. An alternative to Red Bones if you have vegetarians in the group. $100 minimum for delivery. For events at our Boston location.

Redbones Barbeque (Somerville)
A very popular restaurant serving authentic, downhome-style Southern food. Great for events at our Boston location, but they'll deliver to all of our locations.

Star Market (Allston, Newton/Auburndale, etc.)
Party platters, finger foods, desserts — all available online. Browse their catering menu and easily place orders yourself. For events at any of our locations.

Pre-payment is required for all food orders.

Catering orders must be cancelled at least 7 days before the event to receive either a refund of the deposit less a 10% registration fee, or a full credit to a store account. This credit does not expire and may be used for instruction, rentals, or sales at Charles River Canoe & Kayak or the Weston Ski Track.

For all cancellations made after this deadline, no refunds or credits will be issued.
